RAF Marham Aero Club

Flying Training for service personnel and those who support HM Armed Forces.

About Us

We are an RAF Sport Aircraft Association Flying School and registered charity based at RAF Marham. Our aim is to provide affordable flying training to service personnel.

​

We are non profit and staffed exclusively by service personnel from RAF Marham and the wider area. Our instructors are all military trained and civilian qualified.

 

We can offer LAPL, PPL and Aerobatic training in our T67C Firefly.  

 

We can also provide flying training to civilians so long as they provide a positive benefit to the club which in turn helps towards our core aim.

Flight Instructor Needed!

We are shortly due to lose our FIs due to various reasons and we are desperately looking for an Unrestricted Flight Instructor to take over the club.

The DTO is up and running, we have a well maintained CAMO contract T67 with an engine fund. We have a well equipped club house and a vibrant and active membership base. Everything is there for you to come and run.

​

FIs are paid £30 per hour and we fly roughly 200hrs a year - more if you can make it work. We'd be looking for someone who is interested in flying for fun and giving back to the aviation community.

Our Courses

Light Aircraft Pilots Licence

The LAPL is the first step on your flying career. Designed as a 'recreational' license, the privileges of the holder allow for them to act as pilot in command of a light aircraft with up to 3 passengers

Private Pilots Licence

The PPL is the next step up from the LAPL. It's privileges are similar to the LAPL however it takes slightly longer, can be built upon with an IR(R) rating and opens the door to commercial training and beyond.

Aerobatics

The aerobatics rating allows the holder to conduct aerobatic flights as pilot in command. It can be added to both an LAPL or a PPL and is a great way to improve your handling and skills as a pilot.
